While I agree that the Watchtower organization coerces people to shun it's still the individual people that choose to do it. My family chooses religion over family. Some people choose drugs or alcohol over family, mine aren't addicts they are crazy religious people. Until they take responsibility for their own actions the shunning will continue.

Part of the allure of religions like the JWs is people don't have to think for themselves or take responsibility for their actions. All the decisions are made for them.

I had a hard time with Bernies free everything for everybody. The money had to come from somewhere - as nothing is free. That means more taxes for those of us that work. I paid $30k in just federal income taxes last year, and that's after all my deductions. That is not including SS, Medicare, or state taxes, just plain federal income tax. So the thought of paying in more to support an even bigger welfare/social program didn't appeal.

Sorry - no I would not have supported Bernie, too far left for me. I think equality of opportunity is equal, equality of outcome , ala Bernie, no.

There really wasn't a good Republican candidate, and yes I agree, Bernie would have mopped the floor with any of the Republican candidates.

Hillary had her own security issues, as bad if not worse than the current President.

She gave away some secrets about the codes and timing during one debate. She also had the home server debacle and sent classified info on her personal blackberry, so she may not be the best comparison.

The vast majority of Trump voters/supporters are quite ignorant just like their now leader. None of the stupidity that transpires in the WH faces them in the least bit.

i don't fear people who are different or better off than me. I do fear terrorist or people who want to kill me, kind of a survival strategy.

the emergency spillway, never used before in the 48 years the dam has operated, is eroding.. major confusion and panic occurred when the order went out sunday, late afternoon: this is not a drill!.

Disfellowshipped 2x adultry divorce remarried getting divorce to write my wrong

this is bit hard for me but im lost and don't know what to do.. 2010-married to a disfellowship person after only knowing him 3 months i began studying baptized few months later and he was reinstated same year.. i committed adultry 3-4 times in first 2 years of marriage he forgave me.

he was a recovering alcoholic and fell off wagon hard when i tried to fix my wrong it was way out of hand he moved in drug addicts in the home we fought constantly i tried to get personal studies with a sister to keep going but i failed at that and left my husband i left for another man 2 in half years later im looking to divorce because well what goes around comes around and he committed adultery on me .

i got what was coming for thinking i would live happy ever after.

Go to counseling, so you an see why you make the choices you do. You have to take care of yourself first before you are in a position to help anyone else. It seems you are looking to men for attention and validation.

No I wouldn't, because that means I think I am superior to everyone else and my views are the only right ones. (Sound familiar JWs?) I would make it harder for all religions to be tax exempt. I would impose mandatory reporting for all religions and child abuse.
